Chart-ready data
Visual Data
Data tables for the Chrome Extension Starters Sector Radar. All figures are frozen at the 2026-05-12 evidence snapshot and follow the SC-013 display standard: denominator, source, and reader meaning must stay visible beside public metrics.
Display Contract
Reference implementation for Operations/SECTOR-RADAR-DISPLAY-STANDARD.md. Unless a row states otherwise, Chrome Extension Starters metrics use the in-cluster corpus of N=24 repositories and trace to Reports/VISUAL-DATA-CHROME-EXTENSION-STARTERS.md plus the calibration and centroid artifacts listed in the source map.
| Display Area | Denominator / Sample | Primary Source | Reader Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cluster composition | In-cluster, N=24 | Visual Data Table 1; calibration role assignments | Shows the sector shape by public cluster role. |
| Health metrics | In-cluster, N=24 unless the metric names a subset | Visual Data Table 4; calibration score matrix | Summarizes convergence, differentiation, engineering depth, adoption, and integrity. |
| Centroid traits | In-cluster, N=24 | Visual Data Table 5; centroid artifact | Shows which traits define the default starter pattern. |
| Score scatter tables | Displayed top rows from the in-cluster corpus | Visual Data Tables 3 and 6; calibration table | Shows how position, differentiation, engineering depth, and adoption relate. |
| Framework, build, and manifest distributions | In-cluster, N=24 | Visual Data Tables 8-10 | Shows the stack defaults a builder is likely to encounter. |
Cluster Composition
Denominator: In-cluster, N=24. Source: Reports/VISUAL-DATA-CHROME-EXTENSION-STARTERS.md Table 1 and Manual-audit/CALIBRATION-TABLE-CHROME-EXTENSION-STARTERS.md. Reader meaning: role share shows whether the sector is concentrated in defaults, leaders, baseline implementations, or boundary cases.
Health Metrics
These metrics answer how healthy and convergent the sector appears. Each row states the sample and source table so readers can distinguish corpus size from score scale.
| Metric | Value | Scale | Denominator / Sample | Source | Reader Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Corpus denominator | 24 | N | In-cluster, N=24 | Visual Data Table 4 | 23 intake repos minus 1 stale repo plus 2 topic-tag additions. |
| Convergence Index | 4.00 | 0-5 | In-cluster, N=24 | Visual Data Table 4 | High convergence on MV3 + TypeScript + React + Vite. |
| Differentiation Index | 1.79 | 0-5 | In-cluster, N=24 | Visual Data Table 4 | Low differentiation; most repos cluster near the centroid. |
| Human-Edge Index | 3.46 | 0-5 | In-cluster, N=24 | Visual Data Table 4 | Moderate-high sustained engineering across the corpus. |
| Adoption Index | 2.92 | 0-5 | In-cluster, N=24 | Visual Data Table 4 | Moderate adoption with a top-heavy distribution. |
| Integrity Index | 4.00 | 0-5 | In-cluster, N=24 | Visual Data Table 4 | Claims generally match implementation evidence. |
| Viability Rate | 87.5% | % | 21/24 in-cluster repos | Visual Data Table 4 | Most repos show real sustained engineering. |
| Inactive Scaffold Rate | 0.0% | % | 0/24 in-cluster repos | Visual Data Table 4 | No retained starter is classified as an inactive scaffold. |
| Category Leakage Rate | 8.3% | % | 2/24 in-cluster repos | Visual Data Table 4 | Role-boundary leakage: two retained starters are boundary-judgment Adjacent Infrastructure cases. |
Centroid Trait Prevalence
Denominator: In-cluster, N=24. Source: Reports/VISUAL-DATA-CHROME-EXTENSION-STARTERS.md Table 5 and Manual-audit/CENTROID-CHROME-EXTENSION-STARTERS.md. Reader meaning: prevalence shows which implementation traits define the default starter pattern.
Score Matrix Context
Denominator: in-cluster, N=24, unless a row names a narrower displayed subset. Source: Manual-audit/CALIBRATION-TABLE-CHROME-EXTENSION-STARTERS.md and Reports/VISUAL-DATA-CHROME-EXTENSION-STARTERS.md. Reader meaning: the score matrix explains how public role labels are derived and where sector convergence or differentiation appears.
| Score Key | Scale | Question Answered | Primary Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| CM | 0-5 | How closely the repo matches the Chrome Extension Starter centroid. | Centroid trait counts and calibration rows. |
| DF | 0-5 | How much observable differentiation appears beyond the default pattern. | Calibration rows and boundary notes. |
| HE | 0-5 | How much sustained engineering evidence is visible. | Calibration rows and repository evidence. |
| AD | 0-5 | How much adoption signal exists at the snapshot date. | Calibration rows and public repository metadata. |
| CI | 0-5 | Whether claims match implementation evidence. | Calibration rows and package/manifest checks. |
Centroid Match vs Differentiation
Sample: displayed high-adoption rows from the in-cluster N=24 score matrix. Source: Reports/VISUAL-DATA-CHROME-EXTENSION-STARTERS.md Table 3 and calibration table. Reader meaning: CM shows closeness to the default pattern; DF shows whether a repo has a distinct sector position.
